Dog First Aid/CPR (Red Cross Program)

If a disaster strikes, are you prepared to save your dog’s life? 

Gain the confidence and skills necessary to tend to unexpected emergencies with hands-on training in Pet First Aid. The material and techniques presented in this class are a ‘must’ for dog owners, professional dog handlers, police K-9 units, dog rescue volunteers, and shelter/pet day care operators.    

Topics covered in class include:     

•How to prepare for, recognize, and respond to a medical emergency until veterinary care is available
•How to perform CPR, rescue breathing, and general first aid
•Instructions for creating a pet first aid kit
•Tips on giving medicationsDog First Aid - Red Cross Program
•How to maintain your pet’s health and well-being     

Hands-on practice sessions on learned procedures conducted with life-size dog mannequins.
