Cynthia shares with you 25+ years of knowledge and experience in the beauty and wellness industry.
She is certified in a variety of modalities of energy work and received her Esthetics License in 1994. She has studied and trained with Young Living Essential Oils and is certified in aromatherapy. Under her Esthetics License she became certified for massage and reflexology . She is a Reiki Master in the Usui System of Natural Healing, has studied energy work through Ursuline College under Shelby Hammitt and Sarah Weiss, Color Light work under Julianne Bien, and chromotherapy under Lynn Younger. Cynthia is working toward her bachelors degree in Holistic Health Care.
Cynthia made a major career change in 1993 leaving corporate America to follow her heart. She opened her first Relaxation Spa in 1995. It grew very quickly and in 2006 she sold this business to focus on the creation of the Holistic Center.
With Divine timing Cynthia opened Rising Sun Holistic Choices in 2009. Rising Sun Holistic Choices continues to grow and in 2015 expanded into our current location. Rising Sun Holistic Choices now has 15 treatment rooms, a Himalayan Salt Cave, a Sound Vibration Room, Thai Steam Sauna, Far Infrared Sauna, 2 Class Rooms and 30-plus practitioners to bring to you a variety of holistic services.
Who I AM:
I was raised with a sister who had CMT a form of Muscular Dystrophy that had her in a wheelchair. When I was 4 years old I would lay my hands on her legs, it would make her pain go away, she was already molding me. Her life had many challenges, but she persevered, and as a family we were there to provide support and encouragement. I consider my sister my “greatest teacher”. She taught me humbleness, appreciation for what you have, authenticity and most importantly the power of energy work.
My second “greatest teacher” was my mother. I credit her for my spirituality and faith. You will find “The Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi” on my wall, it is a prayer my mother prayed daily and taught me to base my life on this prayer. She also told me at the age of 14, to explore different religions and faiths, but to always believe. That freedom lead me to having dinner with the Dalai Lama!
My third “greatest teacher” in life was my father. An entrepreneur himself, he taught me social skills, business ethics, and most importantly: customer service.
My “current teacher” is my husband, Jeff. He encourages my growth, supports my vision, shares his Unconditional Love and understands that “our purpose on this earth is to love and be loved”.
